Certain enemies drop Special Coins instead of gold coins. If you have a special move, you can spend Special Coins to increase the level of the move, thus increasing its damage. The Special Move Points cost will not go up with the level.

Moves have levels, just like characters do. To increase a special move's level, you need to spend Special Coins on the move. Special moves have a maximum level of 5. Increasing a move's level increases damage dealt.

If it is the players' turns, two - or even three - characters can post their actions at around the same time in the same order that they fight in (for example, the fastest character and the second faster character both post their actions in the order of their turns). They will both execute a combo attack, which will take their turns, but deal more damage.

Skills are special abilities that are equipped to a character. Skills can have various effects, from increasing one's ATK to allowing a basic attack to knock the enemy to the end of the Initiative Gauge. You must spend coins on Skills, however. Initially, you are only allowed to have one skill. For every 15 levels you gain, however, you can equip an additional skill, but the maximum amount of skills that you can have is six.

Like special moves and spells, Skills have levels. To increase a skill's level, you need to spend either Magic Coins or Special Coins on it (or on rare occasions, both). Skills have a maximum level of 5. Increasing the level of a skill increases its effect.
