FORUM RULES

The admins are always correct.
If the admins are not always correct, consult rule 1.
Double posts are allowed for all members.
Reviving old threads are allowed for all members.
Spam is NOT allowed. This is an instant ban.
Trolling is not allowed. This is an instant ban.
Guests may not post, EXCEPT in the Off-topic and Forum Games subforums.
No religious or political debates. It's not pretty. It will result in an instant ban - no warnings, nothing.
Thread titles must have at least four or more letters in it. Post titles are unaffected by this rule. Breaking this rule won't result in any punishment.
Do not overuse smileys. Posts may not have more than 10 smileys. Unicode counts as smileys (i.e. ☺ ☻ ♥ ♦ ♣ ♠ etc. count as smileys, but Japanese characters don't). Breaking this rule three times won't result in any punishment, but subsequent times will get you warnings only - you can't get banned for this.
When posting a link, UNDERLINE IT. Some members can't see links apparently. Alternately, use the :=link=: smiley (without equals signs). Breaking this rule won't result in any punishment.
Do not terrorize members with their fears.
Do not post pics or links that are NSFW (not suitable for work). Breaking this rule is an instant-ban for all members, including staff members.
Use the Times New Roman font when posting in this thread. Breaking this rule will not result in punishment, however.
Forum Uniforms: two weeks Crysandrea avatars, two weeks Tektek avatars, 2 weeks Little Fighter 2-style avatars. During December and January, you may use any avatar you wish. THIS RULE IS OPTIONAL.
All members must check the "Friends and Foes" tab of the User Control Panel.

Any questions should be asked in this thread, or if something is senseless. These rules apply in the chatbox as well.
Only Moderators and Administrators can break these rules at will.

These rules also apply to the Chatbox, by the way.

If these rules are broken too many times in the Chatbox, I will either remove it or ban the offender from the Chatbox.

It is easy to see when a member breaks the rule, because of the Archives.

Moderators, if a member breaks the rules in the Chatbox, notify me immediately via the Staff Lounge.

You don't need to add this to signatures either.

Global moderators and administrators are allowed to ignore this new rule, if they wish to, at the risk of others missing something.

That's true! It's plain rude.
Shane, does this apply to everyone unless somebody has permission?
Or if it's part of avatars or something like that?

Added two new rules; the second new rule (Times New Roman fonts in this thread only) is to make it look nicer. Sort of.

Added an optional rule 15. Starting next week Monday, the new rule will be in effect, starting with the LF2-style avatars.

Oh, my. You all need LF2 avatars due Monday, and i still haven't made some. Well, at least i have that Crysandrea Dream Avatar now. Wanted to make it real-life but said: eh! Let's make something awesome! And i made this guy i'm having as an avatar. Razz

Doesn't matter what character to have as a LF2-style avatar, though. Could be Deep, Jan, even Jack Sparrow (once someone makes a character out of him). Razz

Anyway: new rule. ALL members must check the "Friends and Foes" tab of the User Control Panel - at the top of the page, there's a bar, right? It looks something like this (minus the Admin Control Panel and some other things, of course).

The "Friends / Foes" option takes you directly to the "Friends and foes" page of the User Control Panel, allowing you to check it every now and then. I'll add some more stuff eventually (mainly The Battle, RPG of Epic Proportions), if the Forum Prince doesn't beat me to it.
