Should there be a Tournament for THE BATTLE?

After Mvskoke opened a thread at Mossmouth regarding the Purple Karjam, I got an idea.

Why not hold a tournament for the Battle?

If we do hold one, we can only use one character. ALL members who have a character in the Battle will participate. This has no relation to the story of The Battle, however - so you can be inactive there for ages and still be allowed to participate here!

Currently, members here with characters:

• Kushagra
  

It's just enough for seven matches! The order will be chosen at random by an administrator.

The referee will be someone who has no Battle characters here. At the moment, the possible ones are:

• Bla bla bla 44
  
• GalanDun
  
• Randolf
  
• J. Russels
  
• jteow
  

IF this motion is passed by the majority of the votes, I shall ask GalanDun first, then Bla bla bla 44, then Randolf. I don't know if the other two will come online, so I won't be asking them.

However, in that event, we'll have to wait for Shane to return...

PK would handicap his power for the others a chance to beat him.

Meaning, he'd deliberatly nerf himself for the tourney.

Either the rules are for the refs to decide, or Shane gives the rules (after all, he's the one who first started The Battle).

I think this should be just a normal announcement, as people, like Kush and I, don't like it sitting everywhere. It is just too Bothering. So please move this to The Battle forum and make it a regular announcement. Sorry for anything.

I say yes, of course. As I started The Battle, so shall I be the one who agrees.

... HOWEVER, why not include everyone who has a Battle character at all battles?
For a tournament, I was thinking something like this:

Every person who has a character in any RPG named The Battle which was started by me or Taylor, can participate, without knowing what's going on at the story (like in GalanDun's case).

Those who don't have characters for THE BATTLE will have a special character, which they can choose from any of the following classes:

• Referee (they decide the rules for the fight and can be anyone who has no Battle characters anywhere)
  
• Medic (they heal the wounded after a battle, or bring them back from the dead so that they can continue in future tournaments)
  
• Guard (they basically guard the arena to prevent the Referees or Medics from getting harmed)
  
• Troper (they apply tropes to the fight - who saw this coming? )
  
• Announcer (they basically say what had happened if someone missed it)

You can make your own characters just for the Tournament, if you want to. That's what I'm going to do for the first one, if Taylor allows me.

Maybe something like this:

Different types of character sheets are used, instead of the current style.

Participants post their actions. The referee poster makes it take place or something like that.

That comes to mind.

Shane, you can take this over, since you're the one who made The Battle exist.

Actually, I was thinking more about the characters... and it's safe to say I have decided.

Each character gets his/her own post, BUT the author of the character must first say if he/she will participate in a thread in the Characters subforum that I've yet to make.

Also, I'll have to get a referee out of everyone who has no Battle characters anyway.

This can be considered as Variant X in that it's essentially a "fusion" of ALL other battles, yet nobody can enter that variant, or leave it (not even PK or dimension travelers like Sarah le Roux).

Variant X has its own version of the characters from The Battle. KarjamP, could you perhaps post a list of existing Battle variants in the Characters subforum?
